The Client
Omiqa is a contract research organisation, supporting scientists from both academia and industry with efficient bioinformatics solutions for Next-Generation Sequencing data.
The Challenge
Sequencing technologies are an integral part of life science research nowadays. And while generating samples and sequencing them is getting increasingly cheaper and simpler, data analysis is becoming more and more complex. Experts are needed to cope with the large amount of data, to apply the appropriate analysis methods and to support with generating insights from the results. Omiqa was founded to do exactly that.
Our task was to design a visual identity that highlighted Omiqa’s unique value proposition. Along with that the real challenge was the services and dozens of sub services and finding a solution to make them easy to use and accessible.
The Solution
After extensive research, a branding workshop, and different design proposals, we crafted a comprehensive rebrand with a new visual identity. Along with the rebranding I also created the website with the new brand guidelines and one goal in mind: lower bounce rates.
Brand Workshop
& Logo Design
During the workshop, we were able to define the company values, mission, vision, brand promise, personality traits and client personas. This knowledge helped me design a more precise & meaningful logo and overall look. After 4 rounds of feedback and iterations we came up with the final logo.
Web Design
Based on Wordpress and with a modular approach to the design in mind I created the sitemap and the wireframes and finally the designs. In addition I created 2 variations for every page to be able to discuss with the stakeholders and making sure we’re delivering the best possible solutions.
We developed the responsive website and created easy-to-use modules inside the Wordpress CMS.
